My Answer — What Inspires Me to Care

When I attended Blissdom last month, I stopped by the Johnson & Johnson suite and was asked the question “What inspires you to care?”

Of course my response was about my boys. When I think about their innocence wrapped up in smiles, I get emotional.

I’m honored that Johnson & Johnson choose my inspiration to be one of 18 featured on The Huffington Post as part of their Global Motherhood partnership. You can check out my note of inspiration along with other notes here.

I also encourage you to check out Global Motherhood and dig around in on that site. Just yesterday I linked to their blog about saving seven million pregnancies in Africa  in my monthly e-newsletter. They are posting powerful stories there.

As quoted by Arianna Huffington in her blog, “Global Motherhood will go beyond matters of physical health to address the full spectrum of issues affecting mothers and their babies, with a special focus on the dangers faced by pregnant women in underdeveloped countries and the guilt and fear that accompany childbirth for many women.”

Global Motherhood is a wonderful resource for news about mothers around the world. Their tagline really sums it up well: One Story, One World.

It doesn’t matter the culture — there is one thing that binds us all together as mothers. One thing that gives us inspiration; and that’s the love for our children.

So tell The Bloom Blog: What inspires you? Then go over to Global Motherhood, and tell them too.

No matter where we come from or what our backgrounds are, our love for our children definitely holds us together. Very powerful message!
